This year we are happy to celebrate the 30th Anniversary of the Alliance!
In 1982 the Alliance of European Voluntary Service Organisations was founded by MS Denmark, Concordia France, IJGD Germany, SIW Netherlands, SVI Spain, QISP United Kingdom and UNA Exchange United Kingdom.
Since then we have grown to an organisation with 49 members from 30 countries in Europe, America and Asia and we are cooperating with 30 partner organisations all over the world. Together we offer around 2000 projects each year of which more than 18 000 volunteers are involved.
During our 30year history, Alliance organized thousands of voluntary projects with hundreds and thousands of volunteers participating, but Alliance also hosted many conferences, study sessions, special projects and campaigns.
Alliance is a member of the European Youth Forum and cooperates closely with other international voluntary networks among them CCIVS, SCI, NVDA. In 2011 the network participated actively in the European Year of Volunteering and the International Year of Volunteers!!!
